Current foundation
RunMap reads a saved run and its local GPS route from canonical Running Data. Course M1 and Split Overlay M2 are implemented with fixed North Up orientation, Start and Finish markers, and split choices of None, 0.5 km, or 1 km.
The live preview supports pan, zoom, and Fit Route. PNG export can preserve the current viewport or use canonical course framing.
Planned sequence
M3 Progress → M4 Progress Motion → M5 Location → M6 Travel → final composition.
These are planned follow-on stages, not current capability. RunMap is not the Routes bounded context: Routes concerns personal route identity and route-specific experience, while RunMap renders factual route evidence from a saved run.
Product boundary
RunMap is not a full NLE and does not automatically synchronize video with running data. Any final composition follows the map milestones and keeps user-selected time, distance, location, or route context explicit.
